This is Amy Lee of Evanescence covering Sally’s Song from the Nightmare before Christmas…it’s live on Leno. I chose to post the live version because I think it’s there’s a lot more emotion when you see her perform it (PERFECTLY!) live. In case someone doesn’t know, Evanescence is my favorite band…always has been, always will be. Amy is my hero. End of story.

Foolish Games, Jewel. I’ve always loved this song…I personally like the album version better than the music video version but they are both great. Jewel writes phenomenal music…she really pours her heart into them. I think the line “In case you failed to notice, in case you failed to see: This is my heart, bleeding before you, this is me down on my knees…” is my favorite lyric in the song…the way she delivers it helps too. Hopefully everyone already knows this song?  Song: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=5019848

Careless Whisper, Seether. A freaking AMAZING remake. I can’t really take the George Michael version seriously but Seether brings the emotion out of the lyrics. It’s intensely emotional, really. God, I love it! The bridge is the best. One of the best bridges ever, without a doubt. Kudos to Mr. Michael for the original though.
